G'day
Welcome to the Sleek Grey
Page Template for FrontPage 98 and 2000.
(Written
for FrontPage 2000)
This page
template will work correctly in FrontPage 98 and
FrontPage 2000.
However, when editing this template please note that FrontPage
2000 adds a2 pixel transparent area to all the
Components (Banner, Navigation bar, Hit Counter, Frontlook
Applets etc.). FrontPage 98 does not.
Why Bill, @#%*#!
This is a Microsoft
documented FrontPage 2000

Please visit
here
to see what you can do to this theme by adding text or a logo to the
extra graphics.A
(add text) from the image editing toolbar below. Just like I've done
to the graphic (Put your LOGO here!) on this page. (tutorial).
You can also add a Frontlook Applet
Please note:
This theme's template is made from many tables who's
cells have background pictures to high resolution monitors.MUST
have some content (text, picture, component or even 2 or more empty
key spaces will do) for it's background picture to display correctly
in the Netscape browser.background picture into the cell itself because then
the cell will retain it's height and / or width size.Ok.
Frontlook Applet

This page has a
Frontlook Applet (Vertical Ticker) above the left navigation
bar.
You must have Frontlook installed on your computer to be able
to use it.
If you wish not to use it just click it and
delete it. The applet is contained in a table cell which has a
background image.
You can insert any of the Frontlook Applets into this table cell or
you can just type some text,
Or you can insert the sgyappletsub.gif graphic (below) into
the cell.

If you are not using this page template in the PV Sleek
Grey Web template you will need to save the below graphic into your
web's _applets folder
so as the applet will work.

Very Important

It's very difficult to get a theme such as
Sleek Grey to work within
both IE and Netscape browsers.
I had a Hell of a job getting this theme to
work in FrontPage and both browsers.
thoroughly tested and I GUARANTEE that it will work for
you too so long as you only change the page's content and DO NOT
remove any of the FrontPage Components
(Banner, Navigation bar, Hit Counter, Frontlook Applets etc.) or
graphics.

How to add a this page to a web.
You will notice that there is no banner and
buttons, just writing.
This is because we haven't saved,
Now save the new page and type in the
URL as newpage.htm and type in the Title
as New Page (you can name these anything you want).
Open the Navigation View by clicking the
Navigation button on the toolbar to the left.newpage.htm from the side panel into the main
window and connect and drop it at your desired navigation level.
That's all there is to it.
I have made a detailed tutorial
(FrontPage 98) with pictures and all on how to add new pages to the
navigation structure.
http://www.vineburg.com.au/adding_pages.htm
Also see here
http://www.frontpagestuff.com/web_template1.htm for lots more
template information and help.
Now double click on New Pageopen and
refresh the page in the main window.
You will now see that the banner says New PageNew Page
added to the navigation bar too.
If you double click on the vertical
navigation bar to the left you will see that I have set it at Same
LevelVerticalButtons
This page uses nested tables with
tilling background images so as to appear to stretch or
shrink to accommodate any browser size.
I recommend that a web made with the Sleek
Grey theme and template be
viewed by browsers set at 600 x 800.
This page template has been thoroughly tested
to work properly with both Internet Explorer and
Netscape Navigator versions 4 and higher browsers.
For the hit counter to work you
must save or cut and paste this graphic
do not put
it into the images folder, unless you change the directory path in
the hit counter's properties box eg.
